A Cognitive Model for Frequency Signal Classification
نویسنده
چکیده
This article presents the development of a neural network cognitive model for the classification and detection of different frequency signals. The basic structure of the implemented neural network was inspired on the perception process that humans generally make in order to visually distinguish between high and low frequency signals. It is based on the dynamic neural network concept, with delays. A special two-layer feedforward neural net structure was successfully implemented, trained and validated, to achieve minimum target error. Training confirmed that this neural net structure descents and converges to a human perception classification solution, even when far away from the target. Complex feature analysis of center of pressure signal for age-related subject classification
Purpose: The aim of this study was to characterize prolonged standing and its effect on postural control in elderly individuals in comparison to adults.Materials and Methods: The elderly individuals’ behavior during standing and how demanding such a task is for them, is still unknown. We recorded the center of pressure (COP) position of 12 elder and 15 young participants while they were standin...

Abstract: Gender recognition and age detection are important problems in telephone speech processing to investigate the identity of an individual using voice characteristics. In this paper a new gender and age recognition system is introduced based on generative incoherent models learned using sparse non-negative matrix factorization and atom correction post-processing method. Similar to genera...
متن کاملA Comparative Study of Gender and Age Classification in Speech Signals
Accurate gender classification is useful in speech and speaker recognition as well as speech emotion classification, because a better performance has been reported when separate acoustic models are employed for males and females. Gender classification is also apparent in face recognition, video summarization, human-robot interaction, etc. Although gender classification is rather mature in a...
متن کاملClassification of EEG-based motor imagery BCI by using ECOC
AbstractAccuracy in identifying the subjects’ intentions for moving their different limbs from EEG signals is regarded as an important factor in the studies related to BCI. In fact, the complexity of motor-imagination and low amount of signal-to-noise ratio for EEG signal makes this identification as a difficult task. In order to overcome these complexities, many techniques such as variou...
متن کاملA novel method based on a combination of deep learning algorithm and fuzzy intelligent functions in order to classification of power quality disturbances in power systems
Automatic classification of power quality disturbances is the foundation to deal with power quality problem. From the traditional point of view, the identification process of power quality disturbances should be divided into three independent stages: signal analysis, feature selection and classification. However, there are some inherent defects in signal analysis and the procedure of manual fe...
